We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Maintenance Planner to play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our factory. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to operational excellence in our fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimal disruption to production. You will work closely with production, engineering, procurement, and external vendors to drive reliability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all machinery and equipment
Coordinate closely with production teams to minimise operational downtime
Prioritise maintenance activities based on asset criticality and business needs
Create, review, and manage work orders for preventive and corrective maintenance
Ensure accurate documentation of labour hours, parts usage, and identified issues
Monitor work order progress to ensure timely and efficient completion
Maintain appropriate inventory levels of critical spare parts
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely sourcing of materials
Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialised maintenance tasks
Develop, implement, and optimise preventive maintenance programmes
Review and update PM schedules using performance data and manufacturer guidelines
Analyse maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Prepare reports on downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment reliability
Recommend and implement strategies to reduce unplanned downtime
Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards
Champion a strong safety culture within the maintenance and operations teams
Support audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives
Partner with cross-functional teams to improve maintenance processes
Identify and implement new technologies or methods to enhance efficiency
Drive initiatives that improve asset reliability and operational performance
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years' experience in a technical, engineering, or maintenance-related role
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
Proven problem-solving and analytical capability
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
Solid knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and safety standards
Experience with CMMS systems (advantageous)
