Fire Safety Officer (Delivery) - Belfast

Pay Rate: £ per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
The Opportunity
Staffline is recruiting on behalf of the Northern Ireland Housing Executive for a Fire Safety Officer (Delivery) to join their Building Safety Management team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a fire safety or construction professional to play a key role in ensuring statutory compliance and delivering fire risk reduction strategies across a large residential property portfolio.
The Role
You will act as a competent fire safety professional, responsible for managing fire safety across a designated portfolio of properties. You will lead on Fire Risk Assessments, oversee delivery of remedial works, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
This role offers a mix of technical responsibility, stakeholder engagement, and contractor management, making it ideal for candidates with experience in fire safety, compliance, or building safety within housing or construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake and manage Fire Risk Assessments and develop risk-based action plans
2. Ensure timely delivery of fire safety remedial works and track progress
3. Manage and coordinate contractors delivering fire safety works
4. Monitor contractor performance and address non-compliance
5. Provide expert technical advice on fire safety legislation, building regulations, and standards
6. Engage with internal teams, tenants, and external stakeholders
7. Contribute to fire safety training and awareness programmes
8. Produce detailed reports, performance data, and recommendations
9. Issue and manage works orders, including financial approvals within delegated limits
10. Support continuous improvement and compliance across the organisation
About You
11. Experience in fire safety, building safety, construction, or compliance
12. Knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulatory frameworks
13. Experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments (or working towards competency)
14. Proven ability to manage contractors and oversee works delivery
15. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
16. Ability to analyse data and produce technical reports
17. Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
18. Intermediate IT skills
