Role Purpose
The Degree Apprentice (Project Management) will develop core Project Management skills while studying towards a recognised and accredited degree. Working alongside experienced project managers, the apprentice will gain experience to successfully manage complex projects and programmes, including communication, schedule management, budgeting and cost control, stakeholder management, risk management and project governance.
Key Responsibilities
Projects Learning & Development
* Work under supervision to learn the fundamentals of project management, marine systems, and industry standards.
* Show enthusiasm for participating in engineering, manufacturing, projects, and service functions.
* Complete all apprenticeship academic requirements, assignments, and assessments on schedule.
Project Management Activities
* Delivery of projects to time, cost and quality.
* Define project scope, objectives and deliverables.
* Execution and maintenance of detailed project management plans.
* Tracking and delivering milestones, financial accounting and risk management.
* Cost and variation control management.
* Maintaining compliance with all associated KM Management System processes.
* Customer interface and reporting.
* Controlling and managing the project budget, providing monthly progress status and finance reports.
* Input and upkeep of project contract files.
* Interfacing with both internal and external stakeholders.
Project & Process Support
* Contribute to estimating and delivering work packages.
* Apply company processes, QMS, and change control.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
* Support tender activities.
Entry Requirements
* GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above).
* Level 3 qualification or higher. Ideally in engineering or related field.
* Eligibility for enrolment on a Degree Apprenticeship programme.
* 96 UCAS Points.

Desirable Skills
* Competency with Microsoft Office tools.
* Prior technical experience through college, projects, or extracurricular activities.
* Understanding of basic project principles.
