GSL Education are hiring an experienced English Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that foster a love of learning. The position is based within partner schools across Sheffield, serving communities in the S2 and S3 postcode areas. In this role, the English Teacher will plan and teach lessons that develop literacy, critical thinking, and creative expression, helping pupils achieve their academic potential in a supportive environment. Core Responsibilities: Deliver well-structured English lessons aligned with the curriculum. Encourage reading, writing, discussion, and analytical thinking. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom. Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider learning objectives. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification. Experience working as an English Teacher in a school setting. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all abilities. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
