Sheet Metal Welder / FabricatorLetchworth | £17.00 £22.00 per hour + Overtime + BonusUrus Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a client known for delivering high-quality prototype and low-volume production work.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sheet Metal Welder / Fabricator to join a modern, fast-paced workshop with excellent long-term prospects.The RoleAs a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated components and assemblies while working from detailed engineering drawings.Duties Include:TIG and MIG welding of stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steelFabrication work on materials from 1.0mm 12mm thicknessWelding sub-assemblies and main assemblies using jigs or freehand methodsPipework fabrication and weldingReading and interpreting engineering drawings and tolerancesSanding and grinding components to required finish standardsBuilding assembly weld fixturesSupporting continuous improvement within the workshopWhat Were Looking ForStrong experience in thin gauge TIG & MIG weldingProven sheet metal fabrication experienceAbility to work confidently from engineering drawingsExperience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steelGood attention to detail and quality standardsPhysically fit and comfortable with manual handlingEngineering apprenticeship or City & Guilds welding/fabrication qualifications desirableWhats On OfferRegular overtime paid at 1.5x rateBonus scheme25 days holiday plus bank holidays37.5 hour working weekPension schemeSick pay schemeModern workshop with high-spec machinery and equipmentStable, long-term opportunity with a growing engineering businessTPBN1_UKTJ
