Shifts will include a mix of shifts, such as nights, early starts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays - we provide a 24/7 service.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high standard of care by attending to aspects of patient personal hygiene, maintaining patient tissue integrity and providing pressure area care, recording observations, liaising with the patient\'s families and the general public and supporting colleagues in providing a positive experience for the patient across a variety of settings.
* Assist the registered nurse in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
* Report concerns to the registered nurse relating to standards of cleanliness, hazards and patient safety within the clinical area.
* Ensure the registered nurse is regularly updated on patient condition and progress.
* Ensure the equipment is clean and in good working order.
* Ensure the environment is clean and tidy.
* Participate in the induction of staff new to the clinical area.
* Minimise hazards in the working area and report identifiable hazards to the line manager. Adhere to all safe systems of work applicable to the work area.
* Demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, to ensure dissemination of information. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Promote awareness of child protection issues referring to area child protection policy and Trust policy, and attend child protection training in accordance with the policy.
* Promote awareness of adult protection issues referring to the Herefordshire Multi-Agency Policy and Procedures for The Protection of Vulnerable Adults from Abuse, and attend adult protection training sessions in accordance with the policies and procedures.
* Support the Trust values of Care, Accountability, Respect and Excellence in delivering care in the right place at the right time, all the time.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* High quality patient care should be at the forefront of your expertise.
