Job Advert Location Description
Priory Group offers services to the private sector as well as to the NHS. Private services are provided by Visiting Consultants. These consultants are not employed by the Priory Group but have practising privileges and are entitled to see outpatients on Priory premises and admit their patients to Priory private beds. Priory Group has large multidisciplinary teams providing evidence-based therapies to private service users, with no long waiting lists. Priory ensures excellent governance and quality of service.
You will support and advise nursing staff and hospital management on clinical issues. The role involves working closely with other consultant teams and services within the division, with ongoing responsibility for patient care. Candidates should have full GMC registration, experience in substance misuse, and work within a multidisciplinary team.

This role offers the chance to build outpatient and inpatient private practices, especially in acute and addiction psychiatry. Candidates must adhere to Priory standards and policies.
All roles require DBS disclosure, which Priory will cover. The hospital is located in Lickey Hills Country Park, near Birmingham, with 33 beds across three wards, including psychiatric intensive care and acute services. The hospital opened in March 2022, providing a new opportunity in a scenic setting.
