The Role
This SEN Teaching Assistant role will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist in the classroom, and work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure pupils with additional needs can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
Key aspects include supporting behaviour management, implementing EHCP targets, and helping pupils build confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils with additional needs within the classroom
* Delivering targeted interventions for small groups or individuals
* Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
* Implementing SEN strategies as advised by SENCO and staff
* Assisting with social skills, transitions, and unstructured periods
* Liaising with teaching staff and external professionals
* Monitoring and reporting on pupil progress
