We are looking for an innovative and energetic teacher to join our dedicated staff at Ysgol Eirias to teach Science. The post is to commence in September 2026 for a full time temporary post as maternity cover.
Successful candidates will be well qualified Science specialists with a passion for Biology or Chemistry and other Science subject areas as well as an enthusiasm for working with inquisitive young minds. The school has been embracing the Curriculum for Wales for a number of years and covers all AoLEs, including Science and Technology through the Year 7 to 9 Curriculum. The Faculty teaches Curriculum for Wales in Years 7 to 9: this is followed by GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics. They also offer A Level Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Medical Science.
The successful candidate will be required to teach Science and specialise in either Biology or Chemistry.
