Join Our Team as a Customer Billing Manager
We're looking for a confident, detail‑driven leader to take charge of our Customer Billing Team, the engine behind accurate monthly billing for both residential and commercial customers. This team plays a vital role in supporting our wider Customer and Client Experience functions, ensuring customers receive clear, timely bills and that any billing‑related enquiries are resolved with care and precision.
As our Customer Billing Manager, you'll lead a dedicated group of three Billing Analysts, a Billing Support Analyst, and a Senior Credit Controller. You'll be the driving force behind accurate billing, smooth processes, and continuous improvement, acting as a key point of escalation for both customers and clients. Your leadership will help shape a high‑performing team that delivers exceptional service and supports the business in meeting its financial and operational goals.
Location and working hours:
* Full-time position (37.5 hours per week).
* Office location: Stuart House, Peterborough (PE1 5DD) with flexibility to work from home as agreed with line manager.
Required skills and attributes:
* Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the utilities industry.
* Ability to analyse billing data and produce actionable insights.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level.
* Knowledge of credit control processes in a regulated industry.
* Previous experience in line management, supporting and coordinating daily activities.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills both with internal teams, clients and B2C customers.
* Effective time management and organisational skills.
