We're working with a leading brand in the world of marine fuels who are looking to appoint a Head of Yachting to oversee their superyacht sales team and grow their market share globally.
World renowned in fuels and additives into the maritime space, the company has a global reach across all areas of maritime and employs teams all over the world to provide exceptional services to a demanding global fleet. Due to internal changes the opportunity has now arisen for a commercial leader to join them, taking care of all aspects of growth within their yachting team. With members of the team in the UK, Monaco and US the role will ideally be placed in London or Monaco however other locations may be considered.
Predominantly responsible for commercial leadership and growth in the yacht space, the role will assume the following duties:
- Development and execution of a yachting sector business plan aimed at growing brand awareness and profitability globally
- Network heavily amongst yacht captains, management companies and family offices to build brand awareness and secure new custom
- Maintaining a close relationship with internal colleagues to ensure accurate and on time supply to vessels across the globe
- Overseeing and managing risk across the customer base to ensure that optimal and suitable credit is provided to new and existing customers
- Keeping an ongoing oversight of market demand and performance along with mantaining a strong presence at shows and events across the yachting calendar
In a candidate we seek someone outgoing and ambitious, keen to immerse themselves into the yachting world further an not only exploit their existing contact book but also develop lasting new relationships amongst the industry. Whilst not a role that will require extensive management, the role will come with 4 direct reports with some plans for further growth, so leadership of others, delegation and the ability to appraise and inspire are key. Strong IT skills are also a must.
The role offered can be based from London or Monaco and worked on a flexible basis, with a hybrid expectation to office attendance and with regular international travel expected either in Europe or the US.
On offer is a salary of £100-120,000 plus commissions plus further benefits. The role is offered with the ability to interview and start immediately.
