Independent Living Housing Officer needed in Ferndown, £16.50ph PAYE – Reference: 5270915
Role will cover East Dorset, Ferndown, and Verwood area.
* Providing housing management services to customers living within independent housing properties, taking a holistic approach to ensure an enhanced service.
* Enabling customers to live as independently as possible, with additional support when needed.
* Meeting customers in their homes, serving as a dedicated point of contact in the community.
* Arranging scheme meetings, facilitating social inclusion activities, and completing health and safety risk assessments—no two days are the same.
You will ideally:
* Have knowledge of the housing sector and current housing issues, with a strong understanding of the needs of older, disabled, and vulnerable customers, and accessible services.
* Demonstrate resilience, with examples of working in challenging, emotive situations, applying empathy and patience.
* Be a natural problem solver, organized, and able to meet deadlines, with strong record-keeping skills.
* Be a great communicator, adaptable to different audiences, with confidence in admin and IT skills to handle paperwork.
* Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work purposes.
This is a full-time role on a temporary contract basis.
