An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated senior trainee (ST4 or above) with an interest in leadership, management and Quality Improvement to join Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Chief Registrar, working with the Quality Improvement Hub.
Chief Registrars have a tangible impact on service improvement, workforce transformation, engagement and morale, education and training, and work to deliver better outcomes for patients, colleagues and organisations. The role provides an inspiring leader the opportunity to make a meaningful difference and take the Trust to the next level of achievement.
The role involves a minimum of 2 days a week dedicated to QI, which will be accommodated with your chosen specialty. The Trust has a well-established QI Hub Team with which the Chief Registrar will collaborate as part of their role.
Main duties of the job
* Lead and deliver quality improvement initiatives across the Trust.
* Collaborate with the QI Hub Team and other departments.
* Design and conduct projects such as improving death certification, expanding frailty services, enhancing safety culture in paediatrics, achieving best practice standards against the national childhood asthma audit, mapping the colorectal screening pathway, and improving ergonomics in theatre.
