Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Sheffield Specialist School – Up to £550 per week – Full-Time Are you a Psychology or Education graduate looking to gain meaningful experience supporting young people with special educational needs? A well-regarded specialist SEN school in Sheffield is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025. The school provides personalised education for students aged 11–19 with a wide range of additional needs, offering a nurturing and highly supportive environment for both pupils and staff. The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with diverse learning profiles, including ASD, ADHD, communication differences, and complex needs. Working both 1:1 and in small groups, you’ll help pupils engage in learning, build emotional regulation skills, and develop confidence in and out of the classroom. You will receive extensive training—ideal for those aiming to build SEN experience for future postgraduate pathways. Your day-to-day work will involve supporting specialist teachers, helping deliver targeted interventions, and adapting learning materials to help pupils access the curriculum.
