Porter – The Park Hospital
Position: Porter (full time, 37.5 hours per week, permanent)

Overview
The Park Hospital in Nottingham seeks a Porter to join the Portering department. The role covers a flexible shift pattern and involves supporting patient, equipment, and goods movement across the hospital.
Duties
* Undertake a range of general and ad‑hoc tasks to meet the requirements of the site such as patient, equipment, and goods (e.g., pharmacy goods) movement.
* Explain hospital facilities and services to patients and family members when escorting people to rooms or other hospital areas.
* Provide a courteous service to internal and external customers.
* Ensure patient comfort and dignity are always maintained.
* Provide security for the facility as required within each specific hospital, ensuring compliance of security processes and external patrols as appropriate.
* Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
Qualifications
* Front‑line customer‑facing experience.
* Previous portering experience in a healthcare, hotel or hospitality setting is beneficial.
* Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills Level 2 evidence.
* Proficiency in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
