Vision for Education are seeking a passionate Youth Worker who is looking to start a career in SEND education! Are you passionate about supporting children and young people? Do you want a rewarding career where you can be instrumental in making a difference to young people's lives?
We provide high-quality training and paid on-the-job experience to successful Youth Workers, working alongside our client schools. Following a successful interview, and pending suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills.
About The Role
* The Youth Worker will support young people with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
* Build rapport with students to encourage attendance and engagement.
* Follow the guidance of teachers and manage conflicts effectively.
* Working hours are 8:30 - 15:30, Monday to Friday.
* Term-time only for the full academic year.
* No previous experience or qualifications necessary, just a love for helping others!
About You
* A relevant Level 3 Qualification (e.g., Children and Young People's Workforce, Sporting qualifications) is desirable but not required.
* Ability to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check.
* Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and backgrounds.
* A non-judgmental and caring approach.
* Commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults; all staff will undergo thorough checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
