About The Role
In your role as a Painter & Decorator at HC-One, you will undertake painting and decorating duties to present the homes to the highest standards, helping HC-One become the First Choice Care Home in the community. You will maintain a clean, safe, and homely environment to meet the needs of Residents and Colleagues. Flexibility and responsiveness are essential as the needs of the Homes change.
You will report immediately to the Home Manager or Person in Charge any illness of an infectious nature or accidents involving Residents, Colleagues, yourself, or others. You must understand and ensure the implementation of the Care Home’s Health and Safety policies, including Emergency and Fire procedures.
This full-time position covers multiple care homes, so the ability to drive is required; a shared company vehicle will be provided.
HC-One seeks someone with effective engagement and communication skills with Residents, the Home Manager, and colleagues. Your duties include general painting and decorating across the Care Home, such as making good any damage, wallpapering, and painting walls, ceilings, fixtures, and fittings. You will understand and promote safe working practices, ensure all equipment is clean and well-maintained, and complete mandatory and role-specific training to maintain professional competence.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect, and know the procedures for reporting concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training as needed, including seeking advice and escalating concerns when necessary.
We offer full training, providing a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you will enjoy a wide range of benefits supporting your well-being and career development, including:
* Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
