Over the last decade they have built a world-leading innovation ecosystem which spans the value chain from farmers and growers to tech developers, researchers, and technical and commercial service providers, including investors and entrepreneurs.
Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to grow their highly innovative team by sourcing a key individual as Membership Manager to assist them with their ambitious growth plans both in the UK and Internationally.
What’s Involved:
As Membership Manager, you will create member satisfaction by facilitating a totally positive experience in all interactions with our client, from joining as a new member to renewal and everything in between. You’ll ensure that all members have a tailored and relevant journey through their dealings with the organisation – and all other members in the network. You will also be working as part of the team to deliver streamlined operations, as well as tactful and appropriate membership retention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Member Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with their members by actively engaging with a diverse range of membership, providing advice and support by understanding specific needs and profiling new opportunities as they arise.
2. Membership Growth: Work with the wider team to expand their membership even further, both in the UK and internationally.
3. Retention Strategy: Ensure they maintain their consistently high member retention rate, delivering value to all members across the network.
4. Member Feedback: Collect, analyse, and act on member feedback and our extensive data set to ensure our clients membership offering remains relevant and fresh.
5. Providing a Warm Welcome: Assist in onboarding new members, identifying their needs and ensuring they quickly integrate into the membership ecosystem.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll be working with their Director of Communities to encourage their members to be fully embedded across the network, and their Events Manager to maximise the benefit of all events and activities programme for the members. Working with the Events and Membership Administrator, you will also be part of the activities ensuring the renewal process is rapid and efficient and that records are all up to date.
What We Want to See From You:
7. You will wave a credible working knowledge/interest in agri-tech, or/and the application of technology in agriculture or horticulture.
8. Be able to demonstrate a track record in stakeholder engagement, community management, or a similar role delivering customer satisfaction
9. An awareness of the UK policy and / or funding landscape around agri-tech would also be an advantageous.
10. Have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and a work ethic of delivering excellence.
11. Have an innovative and creative mindset to develop engaging member experiences and to spot opportunities for the organisation and their ecosystem.
12. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
