We are looking for a primary‑trained teacher with expertise in special educational needs, ideally with a focus on communication and interaction, to take on the role of Resource Provision Lead. The lead will have TLR responsibility for leading and line‑managing our intervention provision.
The Resource Provision Lead is critical in launching and successfully implementing our brand‑new resource provision for students with Communication and Interaction needs. The initial provision will include approximately 18 KS3 students in September, with an ambition to be fully resourced, including KS4, within two years.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a broad and balanced curriculum and provide high‑quality teaching and support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) whose primary need is communication and interaction.
* Design and deliver personalised learning plans and support inclusion within mainstream classrooms.
* Lead and line‑manage the intervention provision, ensuring high standard teaching and consistent delivery.
* Collaborate with specialist teachers, support staff, families and external professionals to promote progress.
* Facilitate a positive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
* Work closely with the Local Authority and our sponsor special school, and engage with the Associate Director of SEND for guidance and support.
Qualifications
* Primary‑trained teacher qualified to teach at KS3/KS4 levels.
* Experience and expertise in special educational needs, particularly communication and interaction.
* Ability to lead and manage a small intervention provision, including TLR responsibilities.
* Strong communication, organisational and collaborative skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practice and continuous professional development.
