Hotel Receptionist in Chelsea area
We are currently looking for a reliable and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join one of our client hotels in Chelsea, just a short walk from Fulham Broadway Station. This is a great opportunity for someone with Opera system experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is looking for long-term work.
Position Overview:
Role: Hotel Receptionist
Location: Chelsea (Near Fulham Broadway Station)
Pay Rate: £13.85 per hour
Schedule: 3–4 shifts per week (AM & PM rotation, including weekends)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcoming guests upon arrival and checking them in using the Opera system
• Verifying guest details and confirming bookings
• Allocating rooms and issuing room keys
• Answering incoming calls, taking messages, and handling guest enquiries
• Responding to guest requests and providing helpful information about the hotel and local area
• Preparing and issuing bills, processing payments, and handling deposits
• Managing the check-out process efficiently and professionally
• Liaising with housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Requirements:
• Previous hotel reception experience is essential
• Confident user of the Opera hotel system – must have working knowledge
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Professional appearance and friendly manner
• Able to work both AM and PM shifts, including weekends on a rota basis
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
