Whitehouse Community Primary School Address: Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 5JN Salary: £26,402 - £28,142 per annum pro rata Hours: Part time, 27.5 hours per week, 12 – 6 pm with 30-minute break, 44 weeks per year Contract: Permanent, required as soon as possible Reference: 5186 Whitehouse Community Primary School are looking for a Site Maintenance Worker to join the team Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you will have responsibility for leading a team of cleaners, to do in-house repairs and improvements as well as contribute to the overall management and security of the site. Your responsibilities will include: locking and securing the site each evening and unlocking in the morning if cover is required routine and emergency site repairs, maintenance and refurbishment contributing to the planned preventative maintenance routines routine health and safety and site checks liaising with contractors porterage ad-hoc cleaning. We are looking for someone with: A range of DIY skills, including plumbing and carpentry Excellent working knowledge of the maintenance and development of an educational or commercial setting Understanding of building regulations and health and safety policies Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail The ability to prioritise the tasks in hand Resilience, and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of an effective team.
