Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team and ensure a nurturing and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a passion for early childhood education. This role requires a proactive approach to developing programmes that cater to the needs of children while fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and families.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
* Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff in their professional development, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's learning and development in line with early years frameworks.
* Maintain effective communication with parents, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
* Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels to ensure the nursery runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
* Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement strategies to support individual learning needs.
* Ensure the nursery environment is safe, clean, and conducive to learning through regular inspections and maintenance checks.
Experience
* Proven experience in a management role within a nursery or similar childcare setting is essential.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
* Experience working directly with children in a childcare setting is crucial.
