Reporting to the Student Support Manager, you will be a key member of a dynamic and fast-paced team, delivering an effective, cross-college student support service. We are seeking a motivated individual with a can-do attitude and a proven ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
In this role, you will have responsibility for the delivery of targeted support sessions to groups of students, conducting support needs assessments for students with disabilities and/or additional learning requirements, providing tailored one-to-one and small group support in core and study skills and supporting student welfare, mental health, wellbeing, transition support and employability through dedicated initiatives and interventions.
You should hold an HNC/SVQ Level III qualification along with a PDA in Strategies to Facilitate Inclusiveness in Learning and Work at SCQF Level 9, Applied Suicide Prevention Skills Training (ASIST) or demonstrate a willingness to work towards these qualifications.
Experience in delivering learning support within adult education and in working with students in a variety of settings is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. An HNC/SVQ Level III qualification (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent
2. PDA in Strategies to facilitate Inclusiveness in Learning and Work at SCQF level 9 (appropriate elements of) (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
3. Evidence of continuing professional development
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
1. Experience of supporting students through a support related process
2. Experience of delivering learning support within adult education
3. Experience of working with students in a variety of settings
4. Experience of new technology to enhance the learning experience
5. Experience of presenting information
