We are working with a community-focused secondary school in Bolton to recruit a versatile teacher for Health & Social Care (KS4/5) and Religious Education (KS3). This is a full-time, temporary position starting in March, ideal for an educator who enjoys teaching subjects that foster social awareness and ethical thinking.

About the School This school is known for its strong pastoral care and its commitment to providing vocational pathways that prepare students for the real world. The Health & Social Care department is particularly popular, with many students aspiring to careers in nursing, social work, and the care sector. The school offers a friendly and professional atmosphere where temporary staff are seamlessly integrated into the faculty. It is a supportive environment that values the development of the "whole child," encouraging students to think critically about the world around them while developing the empathy and skills needed for a career in service.

The Role The successful candidate will deliver Health & Social Care to GCSE and BTEC students, focusing on delivering the theoretical framework and supporting students with their reflective coursework. Alongside this, you will teach Religious Education to Key Stage 3 classes, exploring world faiths and ethical debates. The role requires a teacher who can adapt their style between vocational and academic subjects, ensuring that students remain engaged and motivated. You will be responsible for all planning and marking, working closely with the department leads to maintain high standards of progress as students move towards their final summer assessments.

Requirements

* QTS and experience teaching both Health & Social Care and RE.

* The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

* Strong organisational skills to manage BTEC coursework requirements.

Salary M1 – UPS3 (£31,350 – £47,839) per annum, pro-rata.
