Join us as a Senior Project Manager in the UK & Ireland Project Management function, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of a key substation project in Finstown, Orkney. Imagine leading large-scale energy infrastructure projects from initiation to handover, while managing comprehensive project lifecycle management, financial oversight, and strategic stakeholder leadership. You will develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, while also navigating complex challenges to keep the project on track. Your leadership will guide multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring that every aspect of the project aligns with our commitment to excellence and innovation in the energy sector.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead the end‑to‑end planning and execution of large‑scale substation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, schedules, and resource requirements, aligned with PMI methodologies.
- Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, while reporting regularly to senior leadership.
- Act as the primary interface for all project stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Mentor and manage a multi‑disciplinary project team, cultivating a culture of high performance and accountability.
What You Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) managing large‑scale, complex technical projects, preferably in the energy or heavy infrastructure sectors.
- Proven expertise in project planning, financial control, and risk management, with a track record of leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, or APM qualification.
- Strong skills in project management methodologies, financial management, and stakeholder engagement.
