Regal ChambersSurgery is seeking an experienced GP receptionist with excellent communicationand customer service skills to join our friendly team. The successfulapplicant will help deliver admin and reception services in order to supporthigh standards of patient care.
The successfulcandidate will have the ability to understand the differing needs of others andbe able to prioritise these within their own workload; have good attention todetail and be able to keep up to speed within an evolving and busy environment;enjoy working as part of a team whilst having the confidence to workindependently.
Reliable attendanceand timekeeping are essential and some flexibility to cover different shiftswhen the need arises would be desirable.
Main duties of the job
* Arrange appointments (face to face, via telephone and online consults)
* Answer incoming calls from patients, clinicians in hospital/community/ambulance etc
* Registration of new patients
* Process repeat prescriptions/deal with prescription queries
* Actioning tasks from doctors and wider team

Job responsibilities
Tobe responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and theprovision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to,greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system,booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients asrequired.
To act as the central point of contact for patients, beresponsible for the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for theclinical team, liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and externalagencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent.
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
Experience
* Experience of working with the general public.
* Experience of administrative duties.
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting.
