As a Service Assistant in our Mobility Aids Service, you won’t just be supporting operations, you’ll be helping people maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. From coordinating essential equipment to being a reassuring point of contact for our clients, your work will directly impact those who rely on us most. What will a day in the life of a Service Assistant involve? You'll be:
1. Manage referrals and coordinate the loan of wheelchairs and toileting aids
2. Maintain accurate records by completing paperwork and updating IT systems
3. Handle returned equipment and ensure storage areas remain clean and safe
4. Support delivery of equipment, including local home deliveries when required
5. Provide guidance to service users and build strong relationships with hospitals and referral partners
What will you need to be a successful Service Assistant?
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and online stock management systems
7. Strong communication skills with a professional and diplomatic approach
8. Able to work independently while effectively prioritising workload and performing under pressure
9. Confident handling payments and delivering excellent customer service
10. Full UK driving licence would be advantageous
