We're now hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) Team Leader to take ownership of our lead conversion strategy and drive high performance across our sales team. What will you do?
As the BDM Team Leader, you’ll lead a team of Business Development Managers responsible for converting qualified leads into new business. Your role is part leader, part coach, and focused on optimising performance and increasing our conversion % results.
Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring and driving the conversion of qualified opportunities from the BDE team
* Coaching BDMs on lead qualification, follow-up, and closing techniques
* Ensuring timely and professional follow-up of all opportunities
* Collaborating with marketing and BDE teams to ensure lead quality
* Supporting your team with complex sales queries, product questions, and client needs
* Conducting regular 1-2-1s and team performance reviews
* Tracking team KPIs and reporting progress to Sales Management
* Delivering training and knowledge-sharing sessions
* Managing team diaries and supporting effective time management
* Maintaining your own personal sales activity alongside team leadership
* Promoting a culture of accountability, performance, and professional growth
* Communicating clearly, using data to inform decisions, and escalating when needed
What you’ll need
* Proven experience in an Telecoms / IT sales environment
* Strong understanding of the sales process and qualification best practices
* Confident coaching and mentoring experience in a sales setting
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly organised with strong time and team management skills
* Commercial awareness and the ability to spot opportunity
* Target-driven and results-focused
* Comfortable managing or supporting a team in a performance-based culture
* Experience building incentive structures or coaching frameworks
