The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Catering Supervisor to join our team at University Hospital Monklands.
To assist with the planning, organising, and controlling of all activities within the catering department and associated areas, in accordance with Trust requirements. The successful candidate will supervise staff, review staff rota/wages/training, and handle cash.

What you'll need to bring
* Good literacy, numeracy, and practical skills
* Knowledge of Manual Handling, Health and Safety, COSHH, Fire Safety, HR policies, and Absence Management
* Experience in a busy catering environment
* Ability to work shifts
* Flexible attitude and calmness under pressure
* Professional appearance and willingness to learn
Note: A full UK/EU/EEA driving license is required where applicable.
Preferred qualifications
* Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate
* City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or SVQ Level 2 in Professional Cooking
* Knowledge of Food Safety principles
* Documentation skills
* IT skills
* Cash handling experience
Contract details
Permanent, Part-Time, 34 hours per week
This is a part-time role with pro-rata salary.
Location and Working Pattern
This role is based at Catering within University Hospital Monklands.
Shift patterns vary: early start at 7 am, latest finish at 8 pm, covering Monday to Sunday (mainly weekdays) and holidays.
