We are looking for a teaching assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful applicant will provide support for pupils with a range of educational needs within the classroom, during small group work and one‑to‑one, and may work with both KS1 and KS2 children. The post is for 28.75 hours per week (8.55am – 3.25pm daily), which includes half an hour daily pupil support during the lunch break with other breaks unpaid.
What You Need to Succeed
We are particularly looking for someone with the following skills:
* Experience of working with children.
* Committed to a creative approach to learning.
* Experience of working under direction and on own initiative.
* An understanding of the needs of children on the Autistic Spectrum or the desire to learn.
The position would suit a patient, supportive person who can establish positive relationships with children and adults. Good maths and English skills are required to work across both key stages, and a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable. Recent experience of working with children with additional needs would be an advantage - please include details in your application.
