The Opportunity
A well-established environmental consultancy with a strong presence in the South East is looking for a Graduate Environmental Engineer to join their specialist remediation team in Kent.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience delivering remediation solutions on contaminated land projects across residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments. You'll be working closely with experienced engineers and geologists, gaining exposure to both site and office-based work from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the design and implementation of remediation strategies
Assisting with site investigations and supervising remediation works
Soil and groundwater sampling and logging
Monitoring remediation systems (e.g. bioremediation, soil stabilisation, validation testing)
Preparing verification and validation reports
Assisting with risk assessments and environmental data interpretation
Liaising with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies
Requirements
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or similar
Strong interest in contaminated land and remediation
Willingness to work on-site across Kent and the South East
Good written and verbal communication skills
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Desirable
MSc in Contaminated Land, Hydrogeology, or related field
Previous internship or placement within environmental consultancy or ground investigation
Basic understanding of UK guidance (e.g. CLR11, BS10175)
