Blue Legal are partnering with a leading international law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their London office. The role sits within the firm’s Transportation Industry Group, supporting strategic business development and marketing initiatives that drive revenue growth and raise the profile of the practice globally
The Responsibilities:
* Work closely with partners and industry group leaders to develop and implement business development initiatives aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives.
* Prepare tailored pitches and proposals for new business opportunities, managing the process from initial briefing through to submission.
* Develop and maintain key marketing materials including credentials, experience lists, and case studies.
* Coordinate profile-raising initiatives including conferences, sponsorships, seminars, and webinars to enhance the group’s market presence.
* Collaborate with global BD and marketing teams to ensure initiatives are aligned across offices and regions.
* Monitor transportation industry trends and client activity to identify new business opportunities.
* Support cross-selling initiatives and collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to maximise client relationships.
* Assist with the integration and promotion of lateral partners across the practice group.
* Coordinate submissions for key legal directories and industry awards.
* Track the effectiveness and ROI of marketing and BD activities including events and sponsorships.
The Candidate:
* Proven business development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with partners and senior lawyers.
* Experience preparing pitches, proposals and marketing materials for client opportunities.
