Our client is an upstream Operator currently recruiting for the permanent position of Maintenance Technician, based in the Aberdeen office with an offshore trip required potentially for 1 week per month.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage instrument department work scopes from identification, work order creation, material requisition, planning and execution. As well as identifying and raising any necessary planned maintenance change requests.
2. Ensure safe and efficient operation and optimisation of all instrumentation and associated systems.
3. Execute routine maintenance, including preventative maintenance routines covering safety and production critical work, and corrective maintenance work scopes on instrumentation systems.
4. Deliver the 7-day plan and contribute to planning activities, taking responsibility for plan attainment.
5. Use the electronic CMMS system SAP to provide details of tasks and history.
6. Calibrate a variety of instruments, conduct routine tests of plant ESD systems, and use inhibits/isolations to prevent unplanned shutdowns.
7. Read P&IDs, C&Es, loop diagrams, vendor documentation and generate logs/reports/handover notes.
8. Work and carry out maintenance on equipment used within hazardous areas, recording inspections on Intrinsix, trained to a competent standard.
9. Create permits, isolations, and operational risk assessments as part of their role as PA within the Proscient system.
10. Operate a wide range of equipment including fire and gas systems, hydraulic systems (HPU and Wellhead Control Panel), telecoms, and IT systems.
11. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: Banksman Slinger (training provided).
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. A recognised qualification e.g., S/NVQ 3 Instrument and Controls, with experience working with normally unattended installations, and familiarity with control systems like ABB or Honeywell.
2. Ability to compile technical reports with drawings related to operations.
3. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
4. Experience with SAP or similar maintenance management systems.
5. Proactive, flexible, positive attitude with good workload management skills.
6. Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement mindset.
7. Self-motivated with ownership of work quality.
8. Strong teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a multi-discipline environment.
