Abbott’s Diabetes Care business designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings. Our product portfolio includes Freestyle Libre, a recently launched system that is revolutionising how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. We currently have an opportunity for a Business Support Administrator to join our Product Returns and Complaints Investigation team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting administration activities across the team to meet the needs of the business and customers. This is a highly varied role which could see you supporting activities ranging from training session coordination to events plalnning, organisational chart updates to uniform management, and consumables ordering to archiving, as well as other tasks in between!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to add value in an administrative function within a growing and innovative environment. You will proactively seek opportunities for improving or streamlining team activities, whilst ensuring that the “business as usual” service provision continues.

To be successful, you will have a breadth of experience in administrative support, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will bring exposure to project management, strong MS Office skills, and experience of collaborating on administrative process improvements.

You will be comfortable working autonomously, showing initiative and independence, but equally will be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate with and engage colleagues through tasks and change/improvement activities. You will be organised by nature, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task, and deliver to timelines. You will portray excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and be confident at dealing with people at all levels of the business.
