School Nurse
Band 6 £41,608 - £50,702 per annum
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,406 per annum
37 hours per week

Responsibilities
* Provide an accessible, person‑centred effective school nursing service for vulnerable school‑aged children who have been identified as being at risk and requiring additional support, working in partnership with children, young people, families, carers and partner agencies.
* Maintain a continuous focus on prevention, early intervention and support, concentrating on the ten priority areas under overarching themes of vulnerable children and families, mental health and wellbeing, and risk taking behaviours.
* Work within a team while being responsible for a caseload and functioning as an autonomous practitioner by virtue of in‑depth knowledge, expertise, experience and proficiency.
Qualifications
* Applications are invited from first level registered nurses in possession of Specialist Community Public Health qualification.
* Applicants must be car owners and in possession of a full UK driving licence.
