Shift patterns: 2 week Rotational Shift Pattern, hours vary from 6am until 10pm (includes weekend working)

We're looking for an energetic, people-focused leader who can drive operational excellence and keep our transport operation running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. In this fast paced environment, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to Morrisons while empowering your team to perform at their best every day.
WHAT YOU'LL DO?
* Ensure the wellbeing, performance and motivation of their team through regular performance dialogues, scheduled 1-2-1's as well as ad-hoc communication and engagement
* Co-ordinate and supervise the work activities of the team providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development
* Effective team management including planning, managing and adjusting staffing levels to meet operational requirements within a short period of time
* Monitor the performance of people, equipment and processes and highlight to their manager where they think these can be improved or need to change
* Utilise various Transport systems, including Kronos, Tachomaster and Microlise
* Identify and work to solve problems in line with the relevant guidelines or policies
* Enforce and ensure adherence to Health and Safety policy/processes
* Facilitate excellent communication through regular briefings, shift updates and continuous feedback to the team
* Conduct driving related investigations and put together accident packs
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO?
* Previous Transport Management experience (First Line Manager/Shift Manager/Team Manager level) is essential
* Knowledge of Transport systems (Kronos, Tachomaster, Microlise) is essential
* Proven ability to manage a team of drivers, ensuring planning and training is prioritised
* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
* Great understanding of drivers hours and transport systems
* Ability to work on your own initiative and within a team environment
* Promoting a health and safety culture on site
