SITE SECURITY OFFICER - DAYS
WORKING DAYS BETWEEN MONDAY - FRIDAY: 6AM- 6PM
£26,739 PER ANNUM
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a SITE SECURITY OFFICER to join our well-established client based in MANCHESTER on a full-time permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering an amazing annual salary and room to grow and progress.
To assist with the overall task of maintaining security on site including issuing of passes and reporting visitors.
Additionally providing a service to the entire site, approximately 150 employees, regarding first aid assistance, accident reporting and covering reception duties out of normal office hours.
Be the first point of contact to the site for all deliveries, visitors, contractors, etc and represent the Company in a professional and engaging manner at all times.

Day to Day Duties
Ensuring the site is safe and secure at all times. Locking of all Pedestrian gates / Service yard gates and barriers as required nightly.
Physical presence at the entrance barrier during staff arrival on site
Patrolling of factory, offices and outbuildings. Ensuring all doors / shutters / gates are locked. Physical patrols to take place 6 times per day
CCTV patrols - to be recorded hourly utilising individual security login.
Operating of the intruder Alarm Systems / Fire alarm systems / Access control systems.
Ensure accurate records are kept on the Security PC including Diary / Handover / Keys / Licence Checks / Deliveries & Collections / Pool car / Energy Report / Accident reports / Incident reporting / Diesel log & All other associated checks within Security.
Issuing of parking passes.
Reporting any suspicious activities to Line Manager or Management as appropriate.
Checking and reporting of all visitors / Contractors to site to their host
Managing Contractor permits & inductions / Scanning of all documents / Issuing swipe cards / Reporting of incomplete permits.
Essential Skills
Must have previous security/gatehouse/site experience
Must have own vehicle due to working hours
The role will include working bank holidays there must be flexibility with shift work
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to deal confidently with employees, visitors, and contractors
Good observational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and report potential security or safety risks
Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude and appearance
Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations (fire alarms, accidents, first aid)
Competent in using computer systems for logging, reporting, and monitoring (e.g., CCTV, access control, incident reports)
Physically fit to carry out site patrols and respond to incidents as required
Able to follow clear procedures and maintain accurate records
Team player with the ability to also work independently, especially out of normal office hours
Strong problem-solving skills and confidence to take initiative when required
Desirable Experience
First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to train)
Experience using CCTV, access control, or alarm systems
Customer service or front-of-house experience
Familiarity with GDPR and handling confidential information
Conflict management or de-escalation skills
Training
Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
