As a Behavioral Health Consultant, you will play a vital role in helping patients meet their bio-psycho-social needs through a variety of support services and therapeutic techniques. Your expertise will encompass assessment, consultation, crisis intervention, and much more, all aimed at fostering holistic health and well-being.
Your Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will:
* Patient Care:
o Conduct educational, therapeutic, and support groups.
o Provide individual and family psychotherapy.
o Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
o Develop strong working relationships with patients and their families.
o Act as a liaison among providers, patients, and community partners.
o Complete psycho-social assessments during initial visits and annually.
o Ensure treatment plans have measurable goals tailored to each patient.
o Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case staffing.
o Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions promptly.
o Respond to crisis evaluations and complete necessary assessments.
Education & Professional Development

Documentation & Compliance
As part of your responsibilities, you will:
* Document care provided in the EMR according to quality assurance parameters.
* Report safety-related incidents promptly and attend all safety training.
* Stay current with state and federal regulations impacting your role.
* Maintain timely documentation of assessments and interventions.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* Education: A Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
* Certifications:
o CPI certification within 3 months of hire.
o BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
o Fingerprint Clearance Card application upon hire, with the card required within 90 days.
o State of Arizona Behavioral Health license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist).
* Experience: At least 2 years in a behavioral health setting, with direct experience in therapies and crisis intervention.
