We are currently looking for an exceptional new team member to join our Public Transport team as Technical Support Officer.

The Public Transport Team is part of the Public and Integrated Transport service of the county council. The team’s core activities feature contracted bus service provision, public transport developments, interchanges and bus stations, concessionary travel, school transport and rail developments. We also work closely with internal and external colleagues and organisations.
This role provides assistance in the production of bus passes for schools and concessionary passes, maintains the database records and financial records for invoicing and debt recovery. Under limited supervision the post maintains, updates and extracts information from systems and databases. The provision of accurate general advice and guidance to the public or service users is an important part of the role and an excellent level of communication is needed at all times. The role can call for the use of higher level text processing/spreadsheet/IT skills that involve the use of a range of software packages.
