Business Product Owner Nottingham - Hybrid Initial 6 Month Contract £650pd inside IR35 Purpose of the role What does a Business Product Owner do? As a business product owner, you will represent the customer to our technology partners and internal IT and systems architecture teams. Responsibilities Capture customer and business requirements for solutions Prioritise requirements to ensure successful delivery Manage, assess, and approve the product backlog Present product backlog in team meetings Mitigate and resolve any conflicts to achieving sprint/release goals Translate customer need into user stories that can be actioned by our technology partners and colleagues, Align to our business goals and its systems architecture strategy. Represent the customer to the development team ensuring that the customer voice is present Share knowledge internally and externally and be the first point of contact for answering questions What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful? Experience in agile methodology and ability to translate customer needs into user stories. Proven experience in product development (minimum 5 years). In-depth knowledge of agile methodology for project management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to manage a team (minimum 3 years). Ability to manage requests and priorities, as well as setting and delivering to realistic deadlines. Excellent organisational skills with proven ability to manage competing priorities and a challenging workload in a fast-paced environment. Ability to understand structures and business priorities and build credibility quickly. Resilient and solution-focused. Must be a team player with strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to lead effectively across functions. How you'll work Hybrid working; a blend of home and office working 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days at home.
