We have an exciting opportunity within Bury Children s and Young People Department - Business Support Service, for a Business Support Officer working within the Fostering and Care and Support Service area. The role provide administrative support to the front-line teams based in 3 Knowsley Place, Duke Street, Bury. You will be working as part of a welcoming and supportive team providing Business Support to Personal Advisors and Social Workers within the Care and Support Service, and Supervising Social Workers within the Fostering Service, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people. The Business Support Officer role required is as follows: 1x Part time 29.36hours per week (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday - 7.24hours per day) We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and professional individual who is able to provide a high level of administrative support. You will be working in a rewarding and fast paced environment. You will enjoy working to tight deadlines and a high degree of accuracy is essential. You will have exceptional organisational skills in order to work under pressure to complete tasks to potentially conflicting deadlines, without direct line management, re-prioritising your own work as appropriate or allocating tasks to others. You will be capable of resolving problems, using your own initiative to provide practical solutions. You will be experienced in using computer packages and be confident in quickly being able to use bespoke software used within different services. Excellent communications skills will be required, together with high levels of customer service skills to deliver polite, courteous and efficient service to colleagues, partners and service users.
