We are currently looking for a Data Center Engineer to cover London along with other EU regional locations and assist with managing the architecture and operations of our data centers in those regions. This person will also occasionally provide support for other regions as needed.
What you’ll be working on:
1. Maintaining integrity of global data centers
2. Racking and cabling servers and other equipment
3. Performing network infrastructure cabling
4. Setting standards of excellence for all data center operations
5. Participating in expansion planning for all DRW data centers
6. Monitoring environmental conditions of all data centers
7. Maintaining documentation within DCIM tool
8. Maintaining optimal A/C and power conditions for data centers and facilities
9. Performing Windows & Linux server administration
What’s required:
10. 3+ years of hands-on data center engineering experience.
11. Previous experience doing network infrastructure cabling.
12. Familiarity with HP, IBM, and Dell Servers, Blades, SAN and Cisco equipment.
13. Previous experience working with backup software.
14. Previous hands-on Windows and Linux server administration experience preferred.
15. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal team members and external vendors.
16. Must be a team player and self-starter.
17. Strong documentation skills to capture architecture details, procedures, and other relevant data.
18. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
19. Regular local travel (approximately 70% of the time); occasional international travel (approximately 15% of the time).
20. Must have valid driver’s license.
