In this role of Year 1 Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum. Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment where pupils feel safe, confident, and motivated. Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development through differentiated teaching strategies. Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support ongoing development. Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and senior leaders to support whole-school priorities. Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing. Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times. What You’ll Bring as a Year 1 Teacher: UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching in KS1, particularly Year 1, or strong Early Career Teacher (ECT) potential. A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching and learning. Strong classroom management, organisation, and communication skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
