Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Breakfast Chef to lead our morning culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional breakfast and brunch experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations to provide guests with high-quality breakfast offerings in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency, taste, and presentation excellence
* Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize kitchen efficiency
* Enforce food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
* Supervise catering events or special breakfast functions as required
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during breakfast hours
* Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area and ensure all equipment is properly maintained
Qualifications
* Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
* Experience with inventory management, control, and cost optimization
* Strong background in food service management, catering, restaurant operations, or hospitality environments
* Excellent cooking skills with proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to breakfast dishes
* Familiarity with dietary requirements and accommodating special dietary needs in menu planning is a plus
* Previous experience in banquet settings or catering is desirable
