Job Title: Yard Manager
Salary: GBP 35,000 to GBP 40,000perannum DoE
Location:Halifax
Working Hours:Full Time : Monday to Friday (hours during the day are flexible to suit)
Requirements: Previous experience running a busy distribution yard is a must. FLT Licence would be preferencial.
About the Role
Nexus People are looking for a Yard Manager to join our clients teamin Halifax. Our clientoperate Europes most advanced screen recycling facility using the latest robotics, machine learning, artificial intelligence and imaging systems.
You will have previous experience in managing busy Distribution yards, and ideally you will have weighbridge experience. If you have your FLT Licence, this would also benefit.
Yard Manager : responsibilities:
As an experienced Yard Manager, you will beexpected to:
: Communicate and direct the yard team effectively
: Oversee Goods:In/Out yard operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliveries
: Maintain a safe environment, oversee staff training, and reporting incidents and breaches
: Facilitate daily shift briefings to ensure alignment and efficiency
: Organise the layout and flow of the yard to optimise capacity, efficiency, and safety
: Safely and efficiently manage inbound and outbound vehicles in the yard
