About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Substance Misuse Nurse in Brighton & Hove, offering a competitive rate of £33 per hour. This 2-month locum position is available on a part-time or full-time basis, providing flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical care to individuals accessing substance misuse services, supporting recovery through evidence-based nursing interventions. A valid NMC registration is essential for this role.

What You Will Do
* Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments, arranging referrals where required.
* Assess and implement safe alcohol detoxification plans in line with service policies.
* Participate in opioid titration and substitution therapy management.
* Deliver health promotion initiatives, including blood-borne virus screening and vaccinations.
* Facilitate community-based alcohol and opioid detox programmes.
* Undertake phlebotomy and interpret blood results to support clinical decision-making.
* Provide education on naloxone use and complete wound care assessments.
Requirements
* Valid NMC registration.
* Experience working within substance misuse or related clinical settings.
* Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
