What we’re looking for
We’re seeking an experienced client/account manager with a proven track record of delivering success, emphasizing retention and upselling. We promote a culture of work-life balance, encouraging staff not to work late, take time back in lieu, and participate in a 9-day fortnight work pattern.
Responsibilities include:
* Building client relationships: Know everything about your clients, from financial calendars to internal org structures, and even personal details like birthdays and anniversaries.
* Understanding what success looks like for your clients and translating that effectively to your SEO strategists to deliver results that aid retention and upselling.
* Leading delivery teams: Coordinate all teams to meet client needs, ensuring satisfaction and retention, even if not managing them directly.
* Managing commercials: Track renewal dates, create campaigns to demonstrate value, and prepare reports and projections for growth and upselling.
* Project Management: Prioritize workloads based on client importance, manage expectations, and ensure projects stay within scope.
* Leading direct reports: Manage client executives, foster a positive team environment, conduct one-to-ones, and support professional development.
Company structure involves a trifecta of stakeholders: client/account managers, project managers, and SEO strategists, working cohesively to maintain performance. Clients are grouped into pods of up to 10, each led by a client/account manager and support staff.
Requirements
* Proven track record in client retention and revenue growth within a digital marketing or SEO agency.
* At least 3 years of experience as a client/account manager in a relevant environment.
* Experience with project management tools like Asana preferred.
* SEO or digital marketing experience.
* Experience managing teams.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple clients and deadlines.
