Job Purpose

This is an exciting time to join the Water industry; we are investing in the North West region to improve our service to customers which means we need to hire more people to ensure we are meeting our ambitious growth plan.

In the main this role will be to support the operations side of the business but I need someone who is flexible and agile to recruit across different business areas and disciplines. We are a supportive team and we lean over and support each other as and when we all experience peaks and troughs in our business areas resource demands.

We are fast paced and proactive in how we deliver our service to our internal stakeholders but realistically also respond to a lot of reactive demand which comes our way. The ability to not be fazed by this and enjoy the challenge and volume is key.

Our Talent Acquisition Partners manage anywhere between 40 and 60 live roles end to end managing hiring managers, leaders and candidates through the process. Its key to have some inhouse recruitment experience to set you up for success in this role.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities

In this role you will: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process recruiting for positions across the business; responsibilities include but not limited to;

* Advisory and role briefing session with the manager, creating a suitable sourcing and talent attraction strategy aimed at passive and active candidates, advising managers on candidate suitability, designing a suitable interview and assessment framework with the manager.
* Use paid and non-paid for platforms to source candidates and create talent. Conducting campaign progress calls with hiring managers to provide updates and feedback on the status of the recruitment process.
* Work with the business to identify current and future skillset requirements to build robust talent pools.
* Working in an agile way, having regular meetings with hiring managers to assess performance of recruitment campaigns and pivot where needed Lead recruitment of Band 2 and Band 3 roles for the directorate you support.
* Regularly use market data to inform advise to managers and impact business decisions based on this market intelligence and recruitment best practice.
* Manage the verbal offer process with the manager advising on market benchmarks, candidate drivers and the internal reward framework.
* Mentor and coach a Recruiter providing opportunities for development.
* Be the advocator of promoting and driving inclusion and diversity in talent acquisition and work with hiring managers to create diverse candidate pipeline.
* Create and develop networks both in person and online to build suitable candidate pipelines and support the UU Employer Brand. Provide advise and training to managers on the recruitment process, using social media and networks to be brand ambassadors and promote the UU brand and jobs.
* Identify and implement sourcing strategies based upon the job position by creatively conducting research and/or utilizing a multitude of resources to assure a talent pipeline.


Technical Skills & Experience

To be considered for the role you must have:

* Significant prior experience recruiting in an inhouse role.
* In depth experience working with different applicant tracking systems.
* Experienced, confident and proactive Talent Acquisition professional with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Self-starter with a great work ethic and collaborative mentality.
* Demonstrated ability to tell the company's story in a way that speaks to a job seeker's motivation, career goals, and interests.
* Clear understanding of and skill in the use of a broad range of recruitment tools and services including Web-based services; search consultants
* Experience and knowledge of utilising and advising on different assessment tools and methodologies.
* Experience of working with and influencing recruiting managers at all levels as well as third party agencies to ensure that our process is compliant and within legislative guidelines.

During the assessment process we will also be looking for:

* The ability to think critically and convey complex insights in a clear and compelling manner.
* Excellent engagement and stakeholder management skills; able to forge strong working relationships that translate into shared outcomes.
* A research-based approach to recruitment.
* Self-starter with a great work ethic and collaborative mentality.
