Job Summary
As a Junior IT Support & Hardware Technician at Cloud2IT, youll primarily work behind the scenes refurbishing machines and prepping computers to specified requirements, managing inventory, and supporting the team. You wont be working directly with customers straight away, but this role is designed to gradually ease you into a customer-facing environment as your confidence and skills grow. Its a great opportunity for someone eager to learn, tackle technical challenges, and develop their IT expertise in a dynamic MSP setting.
Key Responsibilities
Refurbish machines and prep computers to specified requirements
Handle VoIP hardware inventory and management
Image and configure PCs for deployment
Install and upgrade hardware components like RAM, NVMe drives, and graphics cards
Receive, test, and sticker refurbished devices
Manage stock levels and organise the hardware storage area
Assist with picking, packing, and dispatching equipment for site visits and deliveries
Support the team with basic ticket triage and straightforward support calls
Book appointments and assist with scheduling
Pre-provision network hardware for upcoming installations
Maintain accurate records of stock and equipment movements
Assist with procurement and sales of devices and equipment
Follow health and safety guidelines while handling equipment

Person Specification
Skills & Knowledge
Basic interest in computers and technology
Willingness and enthusiasm to learn new technical skills, including imaging software and PC setup
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Comfortable using computers and technology in general
Ability to communicate clearly and politely
Experience
No prior experience necessary they will teach you everything you need to know!
Any personal projects or interest in tech is a bonus but not essential

Qualifications
Grade C/5 in GCSE English and Grade C/4 in GCSE Maths
Interest in pursuing further IT qualifications or apprenticeships is a plus
Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not required
Other Requirements
This is an in-person role based in Carnforth, Lancashire
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to the Carnforth site
