The Care Assistant role involves providing homecare services, including health & wellbeing activities, housekeeping, personal care, and companionship.
Responsibilities include:
1. Visiting customers in their homes, following personal care plans, assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, meals, medication, and continence care.
2. Supporting house duties like cooking, laundry, cleaning, and assisting with medical appointments and hospital discharges.
3. Encouraging independence and liaising with family members.
4. Ensuring dignity, privacy, and safeguarding policies are upheld.
5. Attending training sessions and supporting continuous professional development.
6. Having a driving license and access to a vehicle is preferred as the role is community-based.
Key Skills & Requirements:
1. Support for new carers through our comprehensive induction and care certificate programs.
2. Funding for QCF Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care.
3. Good communication skills in English.
4. Proficiency in using mobile devices and managing schedules via apps.
5. Ability to accurately complete electronic logs and follow medication instructions.
6. Knowledge of the local area.
7. High standards of personal presentation and hygiene.
8. Effective time management and adaptability.
9. Role modeling excellent customer service.
